There is no charge during a reasonable trial period of a week or
so so that you may decide whether you want to train with our club. After that
you must become a club member in order to practice.
Club dues: $50 per month. All memberships are month to month. There are
no contracts, you just pay the $50 dues at the beginning of each month as you
train.
National dues: $75 for the first year. You must become a member of
Shotokan Karate of
America (SKA), which costs $75 for the first year ($50 for those joining
July 1 or later). SKA membership entitles
you to test for rank, attend special trainings, & (from time to time) to
participate in other events. Membership in SKA includes a membership card, the
SKA New Member Handbook, a subscription to the SHOTOKAN bi-monthly newsletter,
and reciprocity with hundreds of other dojos world-wide.
At noon on the First Saturday of each month
practice is free of charge and open to everyone.
